Bodhisattva : Water Moon Avalokitesvara

Part 1 of my "Emissaries of Mercy" series.

Zbrush sculpting of the Water-Moon Avalokiteśvara, imagined in a moment of quiet reflection during a mythical journey westward.
Here, he takes on a form familiar to those who once carved his image from stone.

Inspired by both Far Eastern and Gandharan Buddhist art, this piece is my attempt to bridge traditions across time and geography.
I've included some studies of existing Buddhist artworks I did before working on the sculpture.
